Main Programm A question of belief | friday april 4th
The first day of the Monstronale festival is about ‘questions of belief’ in film and film history.
‘Questions of belief’ the subject of this year’s festival does not only mean religion itself or faith in the Christian, Islamic, Buddhist or other religions. The question ‘Whereof do you believe?’ is bigger than that and will be discussed within the programme and during the panel discussion.
The panel duscussion will be headed by Christian Schunke. Referents are Daniel Herrmann (Werkleitz Gesellschaft) and Lutz Stützner (director).
“Wilde Wesen” am Sonntag
There will be a short film programme for children ages 9 and up in this years festival screenings. The “Wilde(n) Wesen | wild creatures” abduct you into crazy and exciting worlds, full of curious encounters and events. Stories about friendship, love and adventure are told in wonderful animated short films.

Matched to this year’s special programme, children have the unique opportunity to take part in an animation workshop (age 9-13 years) instructed by Falk Schuster. The results will be presented on sunday at 14.30 o clock in the foyer of the ‘Puschkinhaus’.
